KP CM Vows to Continue Political, Legal Struggle for Release of Imran

Peshawar:  Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, held a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from Azad Jammu and Kashmir to review preparations for his scheduled visit on April 25, as well as the ongoing public outreach campaign.

The Chief Minister noted that the visit forms part of the broader street movement on the direction of Imran Khan and emphasized that efforts would be scaled up to strengthen its momentum. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue the political and legal struggle for the release of Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi.

The Chief Minister said that the struggle for constitutional supremacy, independence of judiciary and media, and true freedom will continue with full force. He further disclosed that the provincial government is prioritizing human capital development, with a strong policy focus on the health and education sectors through targeted and sus­tained interventions.

The Chief Minister also elaborated on ongoing efforts to upgrade communications infrastructure across the province, alongside initiatives aimed at the revival and modernization of rail services. In addition, he informed that governance reforms are being accelerated to strengthen institutional performance and service delivery in line with the broader good governance framework.

Members of the delegation said that bringing forward young leadership by Imran Khan is a positive and forward-looking step. They said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are highly energized and will accord the Chief Minister a historic reception during his visit. - The Nation
